Task 3
Insights about reflective teaching
We as teachers usually reflect upon our teaching practice, and most of the time we are not aware of this, we might be following the stages suggested in theory even when we have never been taught about it. To know how to reflect demands to be conscious of this rigorous process and to explore every phase that comprises it.
Reflective teaching is a systemic process that requires thinking, questioning, reflecting, and acting. In this regard, Mr. Au Young highlights in the first place the importance of making questions "to get to know more about yourself " in terms of identifying strengths and weaknesses, so actions will be taken. He also proposes to ask or talk to colleagues about our teaching practice to understand the possible reason for the problem tackled.
Devoting time to reflect is needed and should be done whenever possible. The reason for reflecting is promoting life long learners to make them producers of their own learning.
